(Their website is: chir.fm < Balafons & Celtic Legends: Plenty of music from West Africa again this week. So many balafons, koras, and polyrhythms! Some fine Canadian blues and roots and exemplary songwriters next, then some masters of Celtic music on guitars, uilleann pipes, fiddles, and voices. Including the first excerpts from a fabulous new Dick Gaughan 7-CD box set dating back to BBC sessions first aired over 55 years ago. (48% CanCon this week. Last week it was 90%! I usually aim at 35-60%, in case anyone is curious about such things.)
